The easiest way to make a gift is to write a check made payable to “Portage Park District Foundation”, the non-profit organization established to support the Park District. Cash donations may be designated for a specific project or they may be undesignated, in which case the funds will be available for the Park District’s most important needs.
Companies can sponsor Park District programs and places. Some employers may match their employees’ charitable contributions.
The Portage Park District and the Portage Park District Foundation are able to receive donations of cash, stocks, bonds and land in a variety of ways, including by bequest in a person’s will. Please contact the Park District Executive Director and your advisors for more information.
Donations of Land
We have heard from many folks who love their land and want to see it preserved forever, and we have already received generous donations of land for parks and preserves. There are a variety of conservation options that could provide various benefits for landowners; please contact the Executive Director to learn more.
